How To Eat Healthier

Many people struggle with “weight loss” and with “weight gain”.  It’s an ongoing struggle to get the weight off.  They try everything it seems but the weight is still there and they can’t seem to get rid of it.  Below is a story by a lady who also struggled but she discovered a “weight loss solution” that worked and it might work for you as well.    Perhaps you are taking “diet pills to loose weight” and maybe they have helped somewhat but I think this story will change your persepective on the weight loss struggle.

I battled with obesity for over 28 years, but one moment led to finally take control of my life. On Monday, October 15, 2012, I stood on the scale and it did not register a weight, but two letters – OL. This indicated I was over the limit for the scale… I was over 350 pounds. Immediately, I had to make a decision. So, I cleaned house – if it was unhealthy, it had to go. Brand new cartons of juice and fresh bags of bread went into the garbage. I was too embarrassed to share with anyone, but I knew I had to make a change.

I started learning how to eat healthier by doing my own research. I figured out which vegetables were better for me and why I needed more vegetables than fruit. Since I did not like water, I found ways to trick myself into drinking water – add lemon and fresh mint. i figured out what type of bread was best for you wheat or multi-grain? There was so much I did not know and because I took the time to understand, I figured out part of my problem.

Part? Well, weight gain contributes 90% to what we are experiencing. I was a very angry person, so when I get angry, I made very poor eating selections – chinese food or fast food. While I was losing the weight, I had to also change my attitude and figure out why I was experiencing these unhealthy emotional habits. One was my relationship – so I had to end that. Next, was my own battle internally, but this part took some time. I developed a spiritual relationship and when I felt angry or depress, I meditated or prayed.

As a result, in 362 days, I lost 100 pounds. In 17 months, I lost 150 pounds. I have maintained this weight loss and I am now helping others. I did not take any products as products did not help with long term results in the past. I did it with healthy living and realizing my health meant more than just my body, but my mind and spirit too.
